Media Man is pleased to report that there were no major incidents and "The Boys In Blue" (the police) were out in force, many on horseback (mounted police).
Australian law enforcement agencies have been on guard following a number of deaths and bashings of foreigners, many of which are said to be race related.
Arrests were made at a number of Sydney beaches today including Coogee and Manly, but none at Bondi Beach were reported.
